In yet another example of our tax dollars hard at work, a report comes out detailing how about $1 billion of the $3 billion “cash for clunkers” program went to drivers swapping trucks for trucks or SUVs that often had gas mileage less than 20 mpg, and sometimes with gas mileage worse than the vehicles they traded in.
