Missionary Elder David Archuleta Sings at LDS General Conference

LDS General Conference Saturday afternoon session. In the choir from the Missionary Training Center is Elder David Archuleta. Way cool that he's dedicating 2 years of his life to serve the Lord and share His gospel. http://gc.lds.org

I was wondering where is David serving?

RESPECT.

I always thought that he was gay. What is the standing of the Church on gays serving anyhow?

I have no reason to believe he is gay. To read about what the Church believes about being gay, see http://www.lds.org/study/topics/same-gender-attraction?lang=eng

It's too bad that he has given up a music career that the entire world could have benefited from, instead of just Mormons. I am afraid one day he will regret the trade-off when religion soon goes the way of Greek mythology. He is a great singer and a has great character.

Truthsleuth, he didn't give up a music career. He's just going on a mission for 2 years, then he'll be back. See his statement at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6N5b7LFX5JI

WOXOF certainly doesn't know the war between the homosexual group and the Mormon church. Mormons are just one of so many religious groups that are against homosexuality. David Archuleta loves God and follows His commands, but is nonjudgmental and respects everyone.
